AHH!!! A new purse! Yayy!!

Anyone who knows me knows that I have needed a new purse for a while 

- in fact I just needed my OWN purse -

My last purse was a total fluke freak accident when a lovely college roommate of mine lent me a purse to borrow for winter break and then never really wanted it back - Sooooo my free/stolen purse was shiny navy blue and received a lot of compliments, which I never took credit for

Then it started to fall apart on me [deservedly so] and the navy blue flaked away to reveal the brown underskin of the bag - NOT a great look 

The purse I had before that was a brown canvas satchel that I took way too long to throw out after it had been sun-damaged from hanging out in my car's backseat for too long

I have never had more than one purse at one time

I have never really gone out shopping for a purse before - they've all just been "Woops! I have a purse!" type deals

.... I'm not a big "Purse Girl" I guess

But fortunately Natalie had a very esspensive gift card to Coach that she said I could use if I found anything that struck my fancy

Last night at the mall I asked Doug if we could poke through Coach to see if ANYTHING was up to my picky purse standards - first purse that caught my eye, tried on, loved, got it, boom

Thank You Thank You Natalie Dearest!!

Now I won't look so ratty in interviews and life :)

Oh yeah...

I GOT A CAR!!!

She's red so I instantly decided to call her "Sox"

I like 'er :)

The Oscahs!

Like my sister Natalie - I nerded out BIG TIME last night:

I pinned my hair to one side [took like 20 seconds]

Wore gold - the lucky Oscar winning color

And purple - MY favorite color

And a skirt to be fancy :)

When Doug cae home from work I had quite a spread for us

Pasta with combination sauce - garlic bread made with sourdough bread [once again, out of this world] - sparkling white grape juice - candlelight - champagne flutes with "W" engraved on them [thank you Men's Warehouse!] 

And for dessert:

I bought only "fancy treats" 

~ Cookies and Cream Drops

~ Andes Mints

Puppy hung out with us too :)

Thursday Morning Breakie

Yum!!! 

[note: Sourdough bread from Whole Paycheck makes EVERYTHING taste better -

grilled cheeses, french toast, and of course - eggies in a basket!]

Do you ever have a crush on a song??

Cause I do - and it is a serious problem/obsession/addiction

I mean it when I say crush too - I get kinda nervous when I listen to it, I want to listen to it all the time, I am uber happy when it is playing, and I sort of squealed in gitty excitement when I heard it randomly on the radio the other day..... even though I own the song!
What is wrong with me?!

When I played it in Doug's car yesterday for the 10th time that day I justified it by saying:

"Addictions need to be fed, Doug"

".... oh is that what they say?"

I hope I can pass this unhealthy behavior on to some more people

Valentine's Day - Married Style:

I wasn't gonna do anything for Doug..... until about 6:00 pm on the 14th

So I went yogging all the way down to the grocery store [like less than a mile - weak]

and bought some stufffff and made it all in a mad rush before he got home!

note to you: simply shaping a wad of sugar cookie dough into a heart does NOT guarantee it will cook into that shape - my attempted heart turned more into like a butt shape.... not romantic.....

[but definitely funny when I explained to Doug my efforts]

also I *opted* not to get red/pink sprinkles - the store did not just run out..... 

Look how festive this guy got for V-Day at work!

The night was made by us starvingly realizing we needed food -

So taco-bell-living-room-floor-picnic it was! While we watched our movie and ate 

our huge cookie with milk afterwards
